Parasail Ride:
Fly high over Catalina! Soar 600 feet above Avalon Bay and enjoy Catalina Island’s beautiful coastline and vistas. You are gently reeled out and back into the boat without getting wet. You can even request to be dipped in the water on those hot summer days if you wish. You may also fly side by side with a friend. Ask your crew about flying three people at once.

What to know: At check in you can get all the details on photo packages and upgrading to a higher flight, at an additional cost, if you wish. This tour takes about 1 ¼ hours and allows about 7-10 minutes hang time in the air.

Frog Rock Kayak Tour: This is a fun, natural history paddling tour offering both novice & seasoned paddlers the experience of exploring Catalina Island’s rugged coastline. Your 2-hour tour begins at beautiful Descanso Beach. Here, your qualified guide will fit you with a Coast Guard approved paddle vest and teach you the basic techniques for paddling your ocean-going kayak. No experience is necessary, as these sit-on-top kayaks for two are fun, stable and easy to maneuver.

What wildlife will we see? As you glide above giant kelp forests and numerous varieties of fish, your guide will also point out interesting landmarks, birds and plant life. There’s always something wild to see… a harbor seal may peek at you from the offshore rocks; a bald eagle may snag a fish from the water nearby. A scenic 40-minute paddle with interpretive rest stops will bring you to Frog Rock Beach and an opportunity to land and stretch your legs or take a quick swim in the cool sea. You’ll also enjoy an energy snack and bottled water before starting the leisurely paddle back to Descanso Beach. At the conclusion of the tour, your hosts will present you with a souvenir certificate to commemorate your Catalina Kayak Expedition. Adventure, natural history, fun and light exercise – a perfect combination.

For your safety, you should be in good health & free from high blood pressure, heart, neck or back problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this tour. Due to the adventurous nature of these tours, this package is not wheelchair accessible. Catalina Island weather may impact this excursion. Please contact us in the event of inclement weather. Max weight is 450. Min. weight is 150 (two people can fly at once and combine weight). Ocean and wind conditions can also affect Min. and Max weight. Minimum age to fly is 6, although those 5 and older may ride along.

Wear your bathing suit and consider bringing an extra set of clothes for after your tours. Remember to bring sunscreen, towel, sandals or flip flops, a light sweatshirt or jacket, plus spending money (gratuities for Catalina Island activities crew are not included in this package).
