Catalina Buzz – June Catalina Events

As summer begins to heat up, so too does the list of things to do on Catalina Island. Read on for the many June Catalina events we’re looking forward to.

Restaurant Week: Avalon celebrates this regional event with a series of special menus and special offers from Catalina’s culinary masters. Check out the list of menus on the Restaurant Week website to see if your favorite spot is taking part between June 3 and 9.

Catalina Wine Mixer: This consistent favorite has gone from the big screen to the real life – albeit in the fall. For 2022, the Catalina Wine Mixer will be held June 3 to 4. Yes, it’s the F@%$ing Catalina Wine Mixer made famous in the cult classic Stepbrothers. The real life version features wine tasting, live music and a movie screening.

The Music Man: Live local theatre takes over the stage at the Avalon Theatre June 4 to 6. There’s nowhere better to be entertained than in one of the greatest Southern California buildings ever constructed – the Catalina Casino.

Kids Day in the Bay: The City of Avalon is inviting kids ages 8 and up to celebrate summer all day long with kayaking, stand-up paddling and an inflatable obstacle course on June 10.

Smorgasport Beach Bash: If the Kids Day in the Bay sounds like fun but you’re a bit too old to be considered a kid, the city of Avalon is doing it all over again on June 18, plus adding beach games.

Catalina Pride Celebration: Avalon’s going all out for Pride on June 18, with a day-long schedule of events including a Pride March and live entertainment on Wrigley Stage.

Summer fun for everyone: After the summer solstice, Avalon’s regular retinue of family favorites returns including Beach Bingo on South Beach every Tuesday and Thursday evening and the Kids Fishing Derby on the green Pleasure Pier Wednesday morning.
