5 Fun Things To Do Now That Catalina is Open
Welcome back! We’ve been waiting to say that (again) for months. Now that Catalina is open to travelers again it’s time to start adventuring and exploring.
While the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter, we’re not out of the woods yet and when you visit you’ll be asked to social distance and required to wear a mask. Restaurants are still primarily doing outdoor dining and you can always order to go. With certain restrictions expected to lift some indoor dining will also be available moving ahead. As for Catalina things to do, most of the activities on the island are open.
5 Fun Things to Do now that Catalina is Open
Private golf tour. Renting a golf cart has long been one of the most popular things to do on the island, but it does have its limitations. Taking a private golf cart tour gives you all the fun of zipping around Avalon, but with a knowledgeable local guide at the wheel. You’ll get to relax, take photos and get all your questions answered. Plus, you can stop wherever you like.
Electric bike tour. If you’d rather be a bit more active, an Electric Bike Tour is a perfect option. The most fun you can have on two wheels, the Electric Bike Tour takes you through Avalon’s quaint streets and along its charming waterfront. The bikes’ electric motors will help you up any hills with ease.
Frog Rock Kayak Tour. Catalina’s protected leeward side offers the ideal environment for kayaking and its spectacular coastline will keep you in awe as you paddle down to Frog Rock, just a couple of miles from Avalon. Your guide will point out wildlife and share island stories on this compelling adventure.
Discover Scuba. For even more adventure, plunge beneath the surface on a Discover Scuba Experience. There’s no experience necessary, although you will want to be comfortable in the water. You’ll learn some basic scuba skills topside before your instructor takes you beneath the surface where you’ll come face to face with some of the island’s most intriguing wildlife.
Three-hour Eco-Tour. Experience the wonders of Catalina’s untamed interior, where bison roam and eagles soar. A three-hour tour will give you time to experience some of the most awe-inspiring destinations in the interior while supporting the Catalina Conservancy, the non-profit that protects the island and its inhabitants.
