PARASAIL / SEGWAY – Package 101

Your package includes round trip cross channel transportation from Long Beach aboard Catalina Express. Once on the Island, it’s time to tour the City of Avalon on your own Segway! This tour offers a great way to see Avalon and your tour guide will talk to you about this quaint town and its history. Driving a Segway is easy and your guide will give you all the training and safety instruction you need. So, jump on and try something new!

You will have plenty of time to explore Avalon on your own or, if you choose, you can add a two hour Electric Bike Rental at check out. If snorkeling is more what you want, you can also add the rental of snorkeling equipment at check out and head over to Lovers Cove to hang out with the fish below the surface.

Not had enough fun yet? OK, it time to check in with Island Water Charters for a Parasail ride through the skies above Avalon. Take in the breathtaking views at 600 feet above the Pacific Ocean. You will be gently lifted and landed from within the boat, so you don’t get wet. If you request, the Captain may give you a cool off dunk in the ocean as part of your ride. You can ask at check in to purchase an upgrade to a higher flight or to purchase a photo package.

You can also upgrade your Catalina Express tickets to Commodores Lounge, which is the first class section on their boats.  You will receive pre boarding, reclining leather trimmed seats, snack and a cocktail or drink.  Why not cruise to the Island and back first class!

This package also includes Discount coupons valid at many of Avalon’s best restaurants, shops and boutiques

Package Available: April 1 – October 31 daily.  From November 1 – March 31 available on Saturday and Sunday.

What to bring and wear:

Sunscreen; soft soled shoes, sandals, or flip flops; sweatshirt, and spending money (gratuities for activity crews are not included in package).

•  5:45 AM – Check in at Catalina Express, Downtown Long Beach Terminal
• 6:15 AM – Depart for Catalina Island
• 7:30 AM – Arrive Catalina Island
• 7:30 AM – 9:45 AM – Open time for Breakfast/Shopping
• 9:45 AM – Check in with Catalina Segway
• 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM – Segway Tour
• 11:30 AM – 2:45 PM – Open Time to enjoy Avalon or if you choose, you can add a two hour electric bike rental or go for a snorkel at Lovers Cove by adding a snorkel equipment rental at check out.
• 2:45 PM – Check in at Parasail Office
• 3:00 PM –4:15 PM – Parasail Ride
• 4:15 PM -7:00 PM – Open for Shopping/Dining
• 7:00 PM – Check in at Catalina Express

• Persons under 150 pounds will be doubled up on Parasail Ride
