OCEAN EXPLORER PACKAGE

THREE DAY, TWO NIGHT PACKAGE

Explore the ocean above and below. This three day specialty package has it all. Here is your itinerary.

Day One: Spend the first day of your package exploring the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. You will experience fish, shark, otter and other critters that call the Pacific Ocean home. You will be able to add many different tour options offered by the Aquarium (not included in package) once you are there. You will then board the boat for Catalina Island at 5:45 pm from the Downtown Landing . Relax and enjoy the ride.

Day Two: After your continental breakfast you will enjoy one of the three activities listed below. You will decide on which one when you order your package. You can explore the City of Avalon on your half day Electric Bike rental. We will provide a map, helmet and bottle of drinking water for your bike rental. Or you can choose to explore our Marine Preserve on a guided snorkel tour. Your instructor will show you how to use your equipment and explain the underwater sea life you encounter as you snorkel through Lover’s Cove. After the tour you can keep your equipment for an additional hour, if you wish to continue exploring. You can also choose a semi submersible boat trip to our Marine Preserve if you do not want to get in the water, but still want to enjoy our Marine Preserve at Lovers Cove.

Day Three: After your continental breakfast, you will check in with your Captain for a Dolphin and Sea Lion Boat Excursion. This excursion will explore the coastline, seal rocks and search for resident pods of Dolphin. The rest of the day is open to experience Avalon or for other tours. At 6:00 pm it is back to Long Beach on the Catalina Express.

You will also receive $10 meal coupons valid at Avalon’s best Restaurants to use during your stay on the Island.

Cost and Schedule:

$350 – $450 per person, double occupancy.  You get all this for less than $117 to $150 per day per person depending on when you visit.  You can choose mid week or weekends, restrictions apply, please ask hotel before ordering.

Restrictions:

• Package assumes two persons per hotel room. You can upgrade to other rooms, please ask hotel.

• Must be age 18 to ride Electric Bikes (age 16 when accompanied by a parent)

• Child trailer and child seats for rental bikes are available at extra cost.

• Must be able to ride a bike to rent bikes

• No children under the age of 5 are allowed on the Dolphin & Sea Lion excursion. Also, no persons with severe back problems or pregnant women.
